ABOUT SID DAVIS
Sid Davis’s sharp, relatable humor draws inspiration from comedy legends like Red Skelton, Johnny Carson, and Garry Shandling.
After retiring from a successful airline career at age 48, Sid took an unlikely leap into stand-up comedy. Despite early resistance as a newcomer later in life, he caught a defining break in 2012 when the prestigious San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival needed a last-minute replacement—giving Sid a shot he’d previously been passed on.
The last-minute filler was voted “Best in Fest” by audiences—not just once,
but three consecutive years!
Soon after, Joan Rivers discovered a clip of Sid’s performance, called him a “Walking Sit-com,” and hired him as her opening act.
Sid Davis turns everyday life into something audiences don’t just recognize—they can’t stop laughing about.
